Jonathan Dickinson State Park has located in Florida State Park as well as a historic site in Martin County, Florida, between Hobe Sound and Tequesta. The park is home to Tequesta, the Elsa Kimbell Environmental Education, and Research Center as well as a range of natural habitats including the sand pinyon scrubs, pine Flatwoods mangroves as well as river swamps. It is home to the Loxahatchee River, declared to be a National Wild and Scenic River in 1985, which flows across the entire park. It is also located on the Ocean to Lake Trail.
